Hi friends.
So, I what I am about to share with you for today's blog post, I was supposed to share for yesterday's blog post, however, it did not dawn on me until after yesterday's blog post was already published.
Okay, so, on June 22nd, 2024, I woke up at about 3:15am. I prayed and I spent my time with God and everything and then at about 4:10am, I got up and ate breakfast. I was so hungry.
While I was at the table eating, I thought about one of my cousins, Darla, who I had spoken to just the day before, and she shared with me that she was pregnant, and she also shared that she had some fears because she has suffered miscarriages in the past; one as recent as six months ago.
She has two children already, but for the longest time now, she has wanted a baby really bad, preferably a girl.
Meanwhile, as I was eating breakfast, I thought about her, and I prayed for her. I was in prayer for quite some time for her and her unborn child. And then, guess what? God said, "And pray for Noella too, and her unborn baby."
When I tell you that God caught me right off guard with this one. Yes, He did.
Let me give you the back story about Noella:
So, Noella is my cousin, and she is also my enemy. I call her my enemy because she is a part of the big conspiracy against me where people have tried to kill me, and they have caused me all sorts of harm, so that they could steal my business, Formula B Solutions Strategic Program Designers & Consulting Services, and profit from it.
On Mother's Day of this year, I found out that she is pregnant with a girl. How I found this out is, she posted a picture/story on Facebook, and it appeared as I was on Facebook.
Now Noella also has a history of having miscarriages and I will be honest and say that when I found out that she was pregnant, nothing at all prompted me to pray for her and her unborn baby. All I did was, I quickly scroll past the story, because I was very uninterested in what was going on in her life. I did not have bad or negative thoughts about her or anything like that, but I just was very uninterested.
The other day when my cousin Darla told me that she was pregnant and that she was afraid that she might have a miscarriage, I immediately encouraged her in the Lord, and told her to have faith in God and I told her to pray, and I also prayed for and her unborn baby.
And then, so often after that, I would keep thinking about her and praying more and more, including, of course, that other morning when I was eating breakfast, and I prayed for her once more, and that's when God said, "And pray for Noella too, and her unborn baby." And I did.
I prayed for Noella and her unborn baby as earnestly and fervently as I prayed for Darla and her baby.
There are so many lessons and encouraging messages in this story, but the first thing I want to mention is:
Do you see how God loves us so much? He loves us all so much.
Now, for all I know, Noella might not have anyone praying for her. Or it could be that God knows that the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man (in this case, that's me) availeth much (James 5:16) and because of that, He wanted me to intercede in prayer on her behalf. For her and her unborn baby.
In addition, what I do know about the nature of the God that I serve is that He wanted to remind me that we always have to pray for our enemies, and He probably also wanted to test my heart to see if I would pray for Noella as hard and as long as I prayed for Darla. And I did. I did. So, I passed the test. Amen.
And now you know what? As I am typing this, I just said out loud that I was going to pray for Noella and her unborn baby again tonight. And I am.
Friends, believers in Christ, let us maintain a pure heart. Let us be diligent about guarding our heart and keeping it pure. We do this by letting nothing (i.e., anger, resentment, unforgiveness, bitterness, jealousy, envy...) contaminate our heart.
I like to say that it is with our heart that we serve God's people (each other and others), and so, we have to keep our hearts full of love. God's love. Not hate or anything else. Just God's love. We have to do this so that we love people like God loves people and so that we can have a heart like Jesus.
Lastly, we do have to pray for our enemies. We really do. We cannot wish harm on them, nor can we/should we rejoice if something bad happens to them, even if you feel like they deserve it.
And that is all I have for today. Be blessed. Be encouraged. God loves you.
