God knows our heart and He recognizes effort and because of that, He is patient with our progress in our walk with Him/in our transformation into His likeness, and God knows when we are ready for the next step; the next step meaning, the next thing that He wants us to do for our transformation process, and this next step comes after He is pleased with our diligence in doing the other things that He had previously instructed us to do (i.e., praying more).
I know this because yesterday, 3.3.2024, as I was posting in the morning on my Facebook page (Yolanda Billingslea) about the benefits of starting my day with prayer and the benefits of being intentional about establishing a God-routine (i.e., daily prayer and time alone with God) and sticking with it, God spoke to me. God showed me that He was pleased with my spiritual growth and my obedience to all that He has been telling me to do within these recent months.
God then told me very clearly that the next step/the next thing that He wanted me to do is to start spending time reading his Word. And not only that, but God told me specifically to get my Bible out and use it to study His Word, as opposed to using my cell phone (Bible Apps). And so, other than me using my cell phone to look up scriptures/refer to scriptures to use in my Facebook posts and my Formula B Solutions Blogs (because I do use copy and paste to include the scripture text), tomorrow, I will get my Bible out (and my highlighters) and begin to do as God instructed me to do and make reading the Bible/studying the Word of God a part of my God-routine. #Obedience
I can never not stress to you the importance of being obedient to what God has told you to do. It is for your good.
Luke 11:28 reads: Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.
Until next time, be well and be encouraged!
Love and peace,
Yolanda Billingslea (Ms. B)
