As I was doing Bible study this morning, God put it on my heart to share the following Scripture for this Blog Post: 1 Corinthians 3:5-11 (NET)
Note: The Apostle Paul is the author of this text/or 1 Corinthians
___________
5 What is Apollos, really? Or what is Paul? Servants through whom you came to believe, and each of us in the ministry the Lord gave us. 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God caused it to grow. 7 So neither the one who plants counts for anything, nor the one who waters, but God who causes the growth. 8 The one who plants and the one who waters work as one, but each will receive his reward according to his work. 9 We are coworkers belonging to God. You are God’s field, God’s building. 10 According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master-builder I laid a foundation, but someone else builds on it. And each one must be careful how he builds. 11 For no one can lay any foundation other than what is being laid, which is Jesus Christ
___________
For the kingdom of God, we, Christians, each have an important role to play in leading others to Jesus Christ. Indeed, we are co-workers in this line of work, which I call - God's service.
Some of us may be the one who plants the seed, meaning, the ones who tells a person about the goodness of Jesus. Then there are some of us (Christians) who waters the seed. However, it is important for us all to know that it is Jesus himself who causes the seed to grow.
Whatever your role is in leading a person to Jesus, be sure that you lay a foundation and build on a foundation that is based on the truth about who Jesus is (based on the Word of God/the Bible), what He has done for us all, what He is able to do (His power and might).
