May is Mental Health Awareness Month.
Let us always keep in mind that mental health is health, and taking care of our mental health is just as important as taking care of our physical health.
For most people, when they are sick with, for example, a cold or the flu, or if they have a fever or a broken bone or a fracture, they go to the doctor. We have to do the same for our mental health; we must go and get professional help/treatment whenever the need arises.
If you are ever struggling with depression or anxiety or anything else that makes you feel mentally unwell, please talk to someone about it so that you can get the help that you need.
Help is available. Do not be embarrassed to reach out for help and tell someone what you are going through.
The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is available for support 24/7. You can call or text 988.
Take a look at the quotes below by Demi Lovato:
"The advice I'd give to somebody that's silently struggling is, you don't have to live that way. You don't have to struggle in silence. You can be un-silent. You can live well with a mental health condition, as long as you open up to somebody about it, because it's really important [that] you share your experience with people so that you can get the help that you need."
__________
"Mental health is something that we all need to talk about, and we need to take the stigma away from it. So, let's raise the awareness. Let's let everybody know that it's ok to have a mental illness and addiction problem."

Be encouraged. God loves you.
Love and peace,
