One Small Act of Kindness

One small act of kindness can be a big blessing to the person on the receiving end of it.

While I was checking my mailbox the other day, I saw a lady who lives in my building, and it is interesting because God has had her on my heart for a little while now.

She mentioned to me that she was unable to connect her cellphone to a Bluetooth speaker that I had recently put out for a donation. I told her that I had the same problem, which is why I donated it.

I thought that my issue with the speaker was that one of my neighbors had their device connected to it, which is why I could not connect to it, because it happened that way before, where I had to go next door to my neighbor and ask him to disconnect from my Bluetooth speaker (not sure how he did not know that he was connected to it), and once he did, I was able to use my speaker again. But this time, when I discovered that I could no longer connect to my Bluetooth speaker, I did not have the patience to go to each of my neighbors to ask them if their mobile device was connected to my speaker, so I instead put the speaker in the hallway and put a sign on it indicating that it was a donation.

Anyway, the lady mentioned that she was looking forward to using the speaker to listen to her “Jesus music”. Her exact words.

I told her that I, too, wanted to use the speaker to listen to my gospel music. I also told her that I recently purchased a small Bluetooth speaker from Amazon, and that I had been enjoying listening to my music on it. She and I talked a little while longer, and I returned to my apartment.

Not long afterwards, God told me to order her the same Bluetooth speaker that I had just purchased for myself, and I did.

I gave her the speaker, and some other items that I wanted her to have. I have not seen her since then, but I am sure that she was blessed in some way by my small act of kindness.

I know that it makes me feel good when someone does something for me that is totally unexpected and where they did not ask for anything in return or expect anything in return. Thoughtfulness really moves my heart.

Be a blessing to someone today in whatever way you can. It can be just a small act of kindness. It can have positive impact on their day.

Be encouraged! God loves you.

Love and peace,
